Juanita Katharine Clifford, 58, of Atlantic, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.The daughter of Alvin Franklin and Bertha Callie (Sexton) Bannister, Juanita was born September 19, 1942 in Marne where she grew up and attended school. She was united in marriage to Paul Burton Clifford on August 20, 1960 in Atlantic. Juanita was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Atlantic.Surviving are her husband, Paul B. Clifford of Atlantic; one son, Donald Clifford of Atlantic; two daughters, Sandra Bolin and her friend, Gordon Coffelt, of Atlantic, and Lisa Aguilar and her husband, Tony, of Madera, California; nine grandchildren, Tammy Bolin and her friend, Steve Mahan, Dial, Melissa and Tracy Bolin, David Aguilar and his friend, Cynthia Cervantez, Anthony, T. J., Laura and Monica Aguilar; two great-grandchildren, Dasha Mahan and Christian Aguilar; three brothers, Orville Bannister and his wife, Lois, of Slater, Iowa, Raymond Bannister in his wife, Maxine, of Lorenzo, California and Richard Bannister and his wife, Yoko, of Tallahassee, Florida; two sisters, Ruby Jean Knutsen and Vernice Ann Knutsen and her husband, Mads, all of Atlantic; one brother-in-law, Harry Hughes of Lewis; and a number of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mervyn and Robert Bannister; one sister, Dorothy Hughes; one nephew, Todd Beebe; and one sister-in-law, Ediel Bannister.Funeral InformationServices for Juanita were held Saturday, June 16, 2001, at 2:00PM at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa with Pastor Jim Hickman of the Church of the Nazarene officiating.
