Clarence Boner

Clarence Boner, 83, of Atlantic, Iowa, formerly of Omaha, Nebraska, died Friday, February 4, 2022, at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa.

Clarence Jr. Boner was born on July 9, 1938, to Clarence and Alma Mae (Smith) Boner in Albany, Missouri.  He was born into a large family of eight children, so there was seldom a quiet moment.  After he spent a short time in the Navy, he was the first truck driver for Warner Trucking when it opened.  In the years ahead he drove for other companies, delivering goods throughout the United States for over 45 years.

Clarence enjoyed fishing and watching football. His family and friends will always remember the humor and strength he showed throughout his life.  Clarence peacefully passed into the next chapter of his life surrounded by his loved ones.

Clarence is survived by his children, Mike (Alice) Boner of Glenwood, Iowa, Karen (Brent) McDonald of Atlantic, Iowa, Ronda Taylor of Omaha, Nebraska, and Tony Bonner of Bradenton, Florida; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; sisters, Ann Hedell and Eda Mae Landrum; brothers, Richard Boner and Jimmy Boner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Alma Boner; son, Daniel Boner; brother, Bluford Boner; and sisters, Ruby Wallace and Mary Hannon.

No services are planned at this time.

Memorials may be made to the family for later designation.
