Thelma Christopher

Thelma Marie Christopher, 88, of Atlantic, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Heritage House where she had been a resident.The daughter of John Wiley and Cleo Blanche (Johnson) Spiker, Thelma was born September 17, 1912 in Atlantic. She resided in Atlantic until 1920 when she moved to Council Bluffs, attended grade school there and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1931. She moved to Omaha in 1935. Her marriage to Adolph H. Christopher took place in 1952 at Las Vegas, Nevada. They moved to Osage Beach, Missouri in 1968. She moved back to Atlantic May 4, 2001.Thelma is survived by one cousin, of Bonita Miller of Atlantic; her godchild, Erika (Spillman) Conard of Murphy, Texas; and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Adolph "Abe&" H. Christopher in 1984; and one brother, Raymond.Funeral InformationGraveside services were held for Thelma on Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at 1:30PM at the Atlantic Cemetery, Atlantic, Iowa with Pastor Allen D.
