Obituary for Chester L. Chisman

Chet Chisman, 82, of Mondamin, Iowa and Chandler, Arizona, passed on in the Odyssey Health Care Center in Chandler, on Friday, September 9th, 2005.Chet was born the son of Wilbur and Ruth Chisman in Mondamin, Iowa on March 21st, 1923. He attended schools in Mondamin. Chester married Shirley Woolsey in the Presbyterian Church in Atlantic, Iowa.The couple raised a son, and Chet worked in meat processing, with Swift Meats, for 40 years until retiring in 1988. He served in the United States Marine Corps during WW II.Chet is survived by his wife, Shirley; his son, Todd Chisman, of Phoenix, AZ; his grandson, Tristan Chisman; 13 nephews and nieces; two brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law. Preceding Chet in death, were his parents and his brothers, Claire Chisman and Duane Chisman. Services will be held at the Roland Funeral Home Saturday. September 17, at 10:00 A.M. with interment following at the Atlantic Catholic Cemetery in Atlantic, Iowa.
