Jesse Albert "Jack" Camp
Jesse "Jack" Albert Camp, 72, longtime Atlantic resident, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa. He was born August 9, 1934 the son of Ray and Ruth (Eppelsheimer) Camp in Atlantic, Iowa. He attended Jackson School and graduated from Atlantic High School. Jack was married to Ramona Jorgensen on October 10, 1954 in Atlantic, Iowa. They lived in Audubon until moving to Atlantic in May of 1955. Employed by Walnut Grove, Jack worked on Plant Maintenance. He worked for 42 years and then retired January 1, 1997. Jack attended St. Paul"s Lutheran Church in Atlantic, Iowa and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.He is survived by his wife Ramona Camp; his children, Jeff (Karen) Camp of Camano Island, Washington, Barb (Craig) Jackson of Grimes, Iowa, Leland (LuAnn) Camp of Waverly, Iowa, Janeen (Ron) Dvorak of Omaha, Nebraska; Grandchildren, Spencer, Carissa and Tyler Camp, Alison and Robin Jackson, Ryan (and Sabrina) Kurka, Lee Kurka, Mallory Camp, Courtney and Rachael Dvorak; one great-grandson, Konner Kurka; a brother, Bob (Karen) Camp of Webster City, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Floyd Jorgensen of Smyrna, Tenn; a sister-in-law, Brenda McCullough of Atlantic, Iowa; his mother-in-law, Gladys Jorgensen of Atlantic, Iowa; and all his nieces and nephews, Lance (Ronnie) Camp, Julie Camp, Debbie Jorgensen, Donna Growden, Diane Jorgensen, Jamie Greishaber and Jarrod Crawley. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ruth Camp; and his father-in-law, Edvald Jorgensen.
