David J. Bullock
David "Dave" Judson Bullock, 78, life long resident of Atlantic, died at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska on Saturday evening, Dec. 30, 2006. Dave was born September 4, 1928, the son of Wallace O. and Zora (Stewart) Bullock, in Atlantic. He grew up and attended school in Atlantic and graduated from Kemper Military School. He continued his education obtaining a BS in Commerce at the University of Iowa. Dave served in the Army as a 1st Lieutenant, during the Korean War. He worked at Bullock's Department store in Atlantic and later worked for O'Bryan Brothers in executive sales for 30 years. Dave enjoyed his hobbies; golfing, fishing, his travels, and winters in Marco Island, Florida. He was affiliated with the Atlantic Golf and Country Club was a member of the Marco Island Men"s Club, where he will be missed greatly. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Bullock Alvillar and her husband, Jim of Grand Junction, CO, Cynthia Bullock Lefebvre and her husband, Brian of Vail, CO, Leslie Bullock Goldsmith and her husband, Paul of Creston, IA, and Elizabeth Nelle Kohan and her husband, Wayne of Kennewick, WA; grandchildren, David Alvillar of New York, NY, Leslie Alvillar of Los Angeles, CA, Amy Goldsmith of Ames, IA, Jordan Alvillar of Flagstaff, AZ, Jud Goldsmith of Creston, IA, Colby Lefebvre of Vail, CO, Alexander Kohan, Paul Kohan, Eric Kohan, Saran Kohan and David Kohan all of Kennewick, WA; sisters, Martha Bullock Lamm and her husband, Bill of Denver, CO and Jean Bullock Rader and her husband, Bruce of Green Valley, AZ, his special friend, Kay Harris of Atlantic; and several nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Zora Bullock; his wife, Patricia Morehead Bullock July, 1997; his wife, Patricia L. Temple Bullock in December, 2002; and his grandson, Patrick Goldsmith. A memorial service is set for Thursday, January 4, at 11:00am at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic. A visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:30 to 6:00pm on Wednesday, January 3. Pastor Gary DeGeest, of the First United Methodist Church in Atlantic, will officiate. A committal is pending.
