MARK BROWNMark Raymond Brown, age 59, of rural Anita, Iowa, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 14, 2010, due to a farming accident south of Anita.Mark was born on August 1, 1951 to Freeman and Aurel Brown in Atlantic, Iowa. He served his country for 8 years in the Navy on nuclear submarines and has farmed in the Anita community for 30 years. Mark was a wonderful husband to his wife Nancy for 35 years and a special father to his three children, Jennie, Jessie and Josh. Mark's friends and family will remember him as having passed away doing what he loved to do.Surviving Mark are his wife, Nancy, of Anita, IA; daughters, Jennie Bingham and husband Kleven of Longmont, CO and Jessica Meyer and husband, Brian, of Anita, IA; son Joshua Brown of Anita, IA; parents, Freeman and Aurel Brown of Anita, IA; brothers, Warren Brown and wife, Linda, of Franca SP, Brazil and Wade Brown and wife Karen of Bellevue, NE; one grandson Karsten Bingham and one granddaughter Kennedy Meyer; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.He was preceded in death by a brother, Gail Brown. Funeral InformationThere will be Visitation with Mark's Family present from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.on Thursday, October 21 at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic and a family grave-side service will be held, south of Adair, at a later date. Meanwhile there will be open visitation at Rolands from October 17-21 - Sunday from 1 to 4 P.M.; Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M.; and Thursday from 8:00 to 5:00, when the Family Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 until 7:00 at Rolands.
