Faye Brown

Faye Ena Brown, 95, a resident of the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center in Atlantic, Iowa passed away Saturday, October 27, 2001, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.The daughter of Ben and Emma (Harper) South, Faye was born May 4, 1906 south of Massena, Iowa where she grew up and attended school. She worked as a practical nurse before her marriage to Wayne R. Brown which took place on August 28, 1935 in Maryville, Missouri. Following their marriage they moved to a farm south of Atlantic where they lived until his retirement from farming in 1968 when they moved into Atlantic. After Wayne passed away in 1983, Faye moved to Peace Haven Home in Walnut. In her later years she moved to the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center. She was a member of the Massena Methodist Church.Surviving are two daughters; Patricia L. Rogers and husband Orris of Walnut. Iowa and Ramona Blend and husband Bob of Green Valley, Arizona; one daughter-in-law Jocelyn Brown of Sonoma, California; one sister Helen Hunt and husband Willie of Harrisburg, North Carolina; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wayne; one son Jack; two sisters, Velma Waggoner and Doris Abrum; five brothers, Ross, Dee, Max, Denny and Teddy in infancy.Funeral InformationServices for Faye will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2001, at 1:30 PM at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa with Orris Drake from Walnut, Iowa officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
