Obituary for William E. Brooks

Bill Brooks, 72, a resident of Anita, Iowa passed on March 27, 2006, in the Cass County Memorial Hospital.Bill was born the son of Pastor Ellis and Pearl (Salley) Brooks, on April 14th, 1933, in Benton County, Missouri. He graduated from Warsaw High School in Missouri, where he was valedictorian; was a graduate of Central State University at Warrensburg, MO, where he was past president of a scholastic honor fraternity and past secretary of his social fraternity; he received his master"s degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, MO. Bill taught English and Business in several high schools and at the Kansas City Business College, he taught Court Reporting and Business Law. Bill"s poetry was published ten consecutive years in Lyrical Iowa. He served in the United States Army branch of the military as a company clerk and a court reporter. Bill is survived by friends and his particularly close friends, Doris, David and Vinita Strickland of Anita. To the delight of his family and friends in Heaven and on earth, Bill was born again of the Spirit, into the Kingdom of Heaven, during the last week of his natural life.
