Obituary for Ethel M. Brehmer

Ethel M. Brehmer, 98, passed away Sunday, April 22, at Kindred Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Northglenn, Colorado. Ethel was born in Berea (south of Anita), Iowa April 19, 1909, the daughter of John and Katherine (Simon) Wheatley. Ethel married Harold Brehmer, March 4th 1931. They lived in Wahoo, Nebraska and Ethel worked for the Defense Plant in Mead, Nebraska in 1942 where she gauged bombs. Harold passed away in April of 1957. She resided in Westminster, Colorado until she moved to Kindred Health Care Center for the past year. Ethel was always jolly and never let a lot bother her. She was a homemaker and people commented on her special touch for decorating. When she saw that someone had a need, she was one to reach out to help. Ethel will be remembered as a very good person. She is survived by her daughter, Myrna K. Spotinsky and husband LeRoy of Westminster, Colorado; four grandsons, Kevin, Terrell, Shawn, and Jason Spotinsky; one sister, Bernice White of Huntsville, Texas; a brother, Leon Wheatley of Jacksonville, Arkansas; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Bock of Atlantic; and lots of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Lelah Harris; and six brothers, Earl, Harold, Paul, Howard, Ralph and Robert.Funeral InformationIN REMEMBRANCEEthel M.
