Obituary for Bonnie S Boyd

Bonnie Sue Boyd, 60, of New Auburn, Wisconsin, passed away at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.

Bonnie was born in Adel, Iowa on April 25th, 1953 to Clinton Melvern Fenn and Edna Mae Sly. She attended Adel High School and graduated in the class of 1972. In July of 1974 she married her first husband Max Lewis. After 22 years of marriage, Max passed away in March of 1996. She later met Dick Lee Boyd whom she would marry on October 5th, 2001 in Missouri.

She worked as a waitress at the Hole in the Wall located in Grant City, Missouri. She also became a ride operator and ticket seller with Chippewa Valley Rides. She was a generous spirit, known to give her last dollar to someone in need. Bonnie treasured her time with family and together they played games, listened to country music and played with their family pets.

She is survived by her husband, Dick Boyd of New Auburn, Wisconsin; one daughter: Kathy Lough (Dwayne) of Atlantic; one son: Edward Lewis of Atlantic; two sisters: Ruby Russell (John) of Atlantic and Shirley Goff of Mesa, Arizona; two brothers: Clifford Fenn (Sherry) of De Soto, Iowa and Robert Finn of Oklahoma; three step-sons, eight step-grandchildren, five great step-grandchildren, along with a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Arlene Fenn and her first husband Max Lewis.

Services for Bonnie will be held at the First Church of Christ in Atlantic on Monday, June 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Dale Kesterson will be officiating. A committal service will follow at the East Linn Cemetery north of Redfield, Iowa. There will be open visitation at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 2nd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
