Thelma Bojens

Thelma Gertrude Bojens, 94, of Sedona, Arizona and formally of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Friday, September 6, 2002 at Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood, Arizona.The daughter of Eugène and Pearl (Kreamer) Garver, Thelma was born September 13, 1907 in Atlantic, Iowa where she grew up and graduated from Atlantic High School. She was united in marriage to Harold Reinhardt Bojens July 27, 1927, at Omaha, Nebraska and they lived in Atlantic until 1938 when they moved to Burbank, California and to Saratoga in 1956. She was a member of the Navy Mothers during World War II. Her husband, Harold, passed away October 11, 1990, in San Jose, California. She has resided in Arizona the last 10 years. Mrs. Bojens was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church.She is survived by one son, H. E. "Gene" Bojens and a daughter-in-law, Beverly K. Bojens of Sedona, Arizona; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harold Reinhardt Bojens.Funeral InformationFuneral services for Thelma will be held Thursday, September 19, 2002 at Roland Funeral Service in Atlantic, Iowa at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Don Seeger from the first United Presbyterian Church in Atlantic officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
