GEORGE BODE, JR. George Bode, 88, of Lewis, Iowa passed away at Griswold Care Center in Griswold, Iowa on Sunday, September 4, 2011. George was born the son of George and Christina Bode on their family farm in Lewis, Iowa on December 14, 1922. He attended country school in the Lewis area and graduated with Lewis High School Class of 1941. George lovingly dedicated life to his parents, his siblings and the family farm. He is survived by his sister Donna Nyberg of Omaha, Nebraska and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Christina; two brothers, Bill and Everett; his sisters, Clara and Brenda; and three nephews, Raymond, Michael and Virgil Hansen. There will be a Graveside Service held at 10:00 A.M. at the Oakwood Cemetery at Lewis, Iowa on Thursday, September 8, 2011. Hospice Chaplain Leon Hodges will officiate. There will be Open Visitation for relatives and friends to leave condolences at Roland Funeral Home from 8:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 6 -7.
