PEGGY A. BOCK Peggy Bock, 49, lifelong resident of Atlantic, Iowa passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 31, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Peggy Ann Bock was born the daughter of Cecil and Edith (Alm) Rabe August 5, 1958 in Atlantic, Iowa. Peggy lived her entire life as a Cass County resident and a graduate of Griswold High School and Iowa Western Community College. Peggy married David Bock on April 4, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a member of United Church of Christ. She held clerical positions and worked in Atlantic for Atlantic Carriers, Dr. Kickland, Henningson Locker, and for Ed Welch at the Clarinda Company for 18 years. She also tended numerous cleaning jobs. Those who employed her thought of her as "not as a cleaning lady but as a friend.&" She enjoyed her work and all of the people she worked for and with. Peggy was a member of the United Church of Christ in Atlantic. She loved to decorate for Halloween and Christmas (hang holiday lights outdoors for the kids); make flower arrangements; to garden and to take part in outdoor projects. Everyone was proud when she mastered the computer and graphic art business on her own. The most memorable of vacations were to Lake Okoboji and the Wisconsin Dells with the kids. The family will remember her as friendly, cheerful and generous. Peggy had a way of touching people"s lives with her willingness and eagerness to help anyone and to constantly be doing things for everyone but herself. "Everybody always came first.&" Her love for her children was the greatest joy in her life. Anyone who knew Peggy could attest to how she took pride in her children. Her strong family values were evident in everything that she did. Peggy is survived by her husband, David Bock of Atlantic; her daughter, Stacey and son, Cody, both of Atlantic; her mother, Edith Rabe of Griswold; her brother, Micky Rabe of Griswold; her sister, Vicki Sanny and her husband, Derek of Atlantic; her mother-in-law, Eleanor Bock of Atlantic; her brother-in-law, Howard Bock and his wife, Karen of Atlantic; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Rabe and her father-in-law, Kenneth Bock.Funeral InformationThe funeral service for Peggy will be held on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa with Pastor Kenneth Davidson from Zion Lutheran Church officiating.
