Richard Berry

Richard P. Berry, age 69, of 800 Chestnut Street, Atlanta, Iowa, passed away at 1:30 a.m., on February 4, 2004 at Creighton University Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.Richard was born and raised in Muscatine, Iowa and moved to Atlantic in 1996. Thereafter, Atlantic, became his home. He was active in the Cass County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and at the Heritage House. He could often be seen riding his bicycle or walking. The family thinks the Atlantic community for the generosity and hospitality extended to Richard while he lived Atlantic. His friends and acquaintances assisted him greatly on his "journey in life&".He is survived by his sister Suzanne Klein and her husband James of Atlantic. A surviving children are Richard Berry of Custer, South Dakota, Robert Barry of Salt Lake City, Utah, James Barry of Atlantic and Suzanna Rivera of Muscatine, Iowa. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Barry, his father Robert K. Barry, and his brothers Patrick Barry and Robert Barry.The visitation will be held at the Evangelical Free Church in Atlantic, Iowa on February 7, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Following the visitation a short prayer service will be held for family and interested friends. They will not be a lunch served.In lieu of flowers, the family requests Richard be remembered by memorials to the Cass County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Good Samaritan Fund at the Heritage House in Atlantic.Funeral InformationVisitation: 02-07-2004 at the Evangelical Freen Church in Atlantic.
