JANE ALICE BERGE Jane Alice Berge of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010, at her home at the age of 57. Jane was born December 12, 1952 to Billy George and Shirley Ann (Foreman) Newlon in Red Oak, Iowa. She attended school in Atlantic until the 11th grade. Jane was married to Jackie Dean Pangburn after he was discharged from the service. They were married for ten years and, during that time, three daughters were born to them. On May 15, 1991, she was united in marriage to Fredrick Allen Berge in Atlantic, IA. Jane worked for Delongs Sportwear in Atlantic for 19 years until she became ill. She enjoyed reading books, watching scary movies and jewelry. Her favorite things were fishing and being outdoors but her grandchildren were what she loved most. Jane is survived by her husband Fred, of Atlantic, IA; her daughters, Kandy Betances and husband Joe of Harlan, IA, Donna Gehling and husband Phil of Atlantic, IA and Tina Keasey and husband Kevin of Atlantic, IA; grandsons, Bryce, Kyle and Michael Gehling of Atlantic, IA and Kevin Leroy Keasey II of Atlantic, IA and a granddaughter on the way; a sister Sheryl Black of Council Bluffs, IA; brothers, Bill Newlon and wife Denise of Fremont, NE and Kevin Newlon and wife Angie of Red Oak, IA; sisters-in-law, Carol Wright and friend Kim Thompson of Atlantic, IA and Janice Namanny and husband Charles of Atlantic, IA; brothers-in-law, Dennis Berge and wife Linda of Wiota, IA and Charles South and wife Linda of Lewis, IA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Shirley Reeves; her father Bill Newlon and step father Gail Reeves.Funeral Information There will be open visitation from 8:00 to 5:30 on Tuesday and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the family meets with friends at 3:00 PM, one hour prior to the service. Services for Jane will be held at the Roland Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 4:00 with Pastor Dale Kesterson of the First Church of Christ, in Atlantic, officiating.
