Justin "Justy&" Lance Benton, 22, of Atlantic, passed away Friday, May 25, 2001, at his home.The son of Peggy Sue Hensel and Lance Melvin Benton, Justy was born April 21, 1979, in Atlantic where he grew up and graduated from Atlantic High School in 1997, where he was on the Honor Roll and had received a letter of Academics. Justy had been employed at Pizza Hut in Atlantic. But things he enjoyed most were his computer, music, video games, cars, body art, movies, the Green Bay Packers, animated figures, his fish, and professional wrestling.Surviving are his mother, Peggy Hensel of Atlantic; his father, Lance Benton of Pope city; one brother, Brandon Benton of Atlantic; his pal (Cat) "Cheech&", his maternal grandparents, Bob and Doris Hensel of Atlantic; his paternal grandmother, Carole Benton of Atlantic; paternal grandparents, Melvin and Jeannie Benton of Brush, Colorado; aunts and uncles, Rodney and Carla Hensel of Cocoa Beach, Florida, Ronald Hensel of Atlantic, Lori and Paul Rutherford of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Kim and Tyler Whetstone of Atlantic, Bill and Lisa Hensel of Tinley, Iowa, Jim Benson and Jan Wise of Atlantic, Joni and Doug Sudmann of Wiota, Denise and Chris Claussen of Norfolk, Nebraska, Rhea and Tab Gaines of Polk City, Blen and Roy VanAernam of Ida Grove; and several other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bessie and Adam Hutchings and Dorothy and Charles Hensel; his paternal great-grandparents, George and Esther Hackwell and Rose and Earl Benton; a maternal cousin, Kari Hensel; and a paternal uncle, Harvey Hackwell.Roland Funeral Service -- Atlantic, IowaFuneral InformationServices for Justin were held on Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at 10:30 AM at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa with Pastor Tim Waldron from the First Baptist Church in Brayton officiating.Interment was in the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic, Iowa.
