Robert Beaty

Robert Malcolm Beaty, 90, a resident of the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center, passed away there Saturday, January 13, 2001.The son of Howard and Emma Johnson Beaty, Robert was born June 5, 1910, in Keokuk where he grew up and attended school. He was united in marriage to Edna Mae Frizzell on September 29, 1939 in Red Oak, Iowa. Following their marriage they farmed in the Oakland area before moving north of Atlantic in 1974, then to Atlantic in 1992. Robert enjoyed working on machinery and cars.Robert is survived by one daughter in-law, Connie Beaty; one grandson Devin Beaty; one granddaughter, Tiana Beaty; and one great-granddaughter, Allison Beatty, all of Atlantic; six sisters-in-law, Opal Beaty, Darlene Frizzell, Shirley Frizzell, Roberta Beaty, all of Oakland, Betty Frizzell of Lewis, and Erma Beaty of Keokuk, Iowa; two brothers-in-law, Lyle Frizzell of Lewis and Gordon Frizzell of Oakland; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edna; two sons, Terry Beaty and Gary, in infancy; one daughter, Doris; one sister, Edna Glasgow; and six brothers, Gilbert, Virgil, Everett, Roy, Ernest and Andrew Beaty.Roland Funeral Service -- Atlantic, IowaFuneral InformationServices for Robert were held Friday, January 19, 2001, at 10:30 AM in the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa with Reverend Richard T.
