Mildred Auerbach

Mildred Marie Auerbach, 78 of Atlantic, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2001, at the Immanuel Fontanelle Home in Omaha.The daughter of Frank L. and Nellie J. (Bornholdt) Auerbach, Mildred was born November 24, 1922 in Atlantic, Iowa where she grew up and graduated from Atlantic High School. Mildred worked as a Bell Telephone Operator for 31 years retiring in 1981. She was a member of Nishna Valley China Dolls and Telephone Pioneers.Surviving are two brothers, Lester Auerbach and Wayne Auerbach and his wife, Donnis, all of Atlantic; one sister, Phyllis Ainslie, of Portland, Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister-in-law, Iva Auerbach.Funeral InformationServices for Mildred were held on Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at 10:30 A.M. at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa with Reverend Rodger McKinney of Wiota, Iowa officiating. Interment was in the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic.
