Lloyd Auerbach

Lloyd C. F. Auerbach, 86, of Atlantic, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2002, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.The son of Henry T. and Freda (Brehmer) Auerbach, Lloyd was born September 29, 1915 in Cass County, Iowa. He married Eleanor Moller on November 12, 1934 in Maryville, Missouri. They farmed northwest of Lewis for 50 years. Upon retiring, they moved to Atlantic and he was janitor and maintenance man at DeLong's sportswear for several years. Lloyd was a longtime member of the Griswold Telephone Company Board of Directors. he was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Atlantic.Lloyd is survived by two sons, Lyle Auerbach and wife, Sharon, of Roseville, California and Dennis Auerbach of Newark, California; one daughter, Linda McCurdy and husband, Pat, of Cumberland; nine grandchildren, Chris Wilson of Glenwood, Sherry Wall and husband, Brian, of Atlantic, James McCurdy and wife, Connie, of Iowa City, Timothy McCurdy of St. Louis, Missouri, John McCurdy and fiancee, Ann Young, of Des Moines, David Auerbach and wife, Pam, of Atlantic, Richard Auerbach and wife, Mary, of Gilbert, Arizona; Darrin Auerbach and wife, Frances, of Lathrop, California and Amanda Moller and husband, Chris, of Harywood, California; five great-grandchildren, Ashlee Wall of Atlantic, Douglas and Jake Auerbach of Atlantic and Daniel and Robby Auerbach of Gilbert, Arizona; and one brother, Robert Auerbach and wife, Leona, of Atlantic.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one sister, Blanche Pelzer; and one brother, Wilbur.Funeral InformationFuneral services for Lloyd will be held at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic on Tuesday, October 1, 2002, at 9:30 A.M. with Rev. Tompsie Smith of the First United Methodist Church of Atlantic officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
