Eleanor Auerbach

Eleanor Ruth (Moller) Auerbach, 86, of Atlantic, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2002, at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center.The daughter of Carl and Matilda (Fries) Moller, Eleanor was born July 3, 1915, in Pottawattamie County where she grew up and graduated as Valedictorian of her class. She was married to Lloyd Auerbach on November 12, 1934, in Maryville, Missouri. She worked by her husband's side on the farm until they retired from farming and then again as janitor at DeLongs Sportswear. Eleanor was a member of the Sew and So Club, a 4-H leader for the Klassy Kassettes and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Atlantic. Surviving are her husband Lloyd; two sons, Lyle Auerbach and wife Sharon of Roseville, CA and Dennis Auerbach of Newark, CA; one daughter Linda McCurdy and her husband Pat of Cumberland, IA; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Inez and four brothers, Marvin, Alfred, Raymond and Earl.Roland Funeral Service -- Atlantic, IowaFuneral InformationServices for Eleanor will be held on Saurday, February 23, 2002, at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa at 10:30 AM with Rev.
