Shirley Atkinson

Shirley Jean Atkinson, 68, a resident of Atlantic, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2005, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on May 19, 1937, the daughter of Clarence and Ola Kinder.Shirley will be remembered as one who took pride in herself and everything she did and was very talented with crafts and needlework. Anything she started she stayed with until it was beautifully completed. She had a great love for life and a tender heart for God"s creatures, especially her dogs. She enjoyed winter and thunderstorms and living in Iowa where she could experience them both. She and Michael had a very loving relationship all of their married life. Shirley and her daughter Christine were very close and she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.Shirley is survived by her husband, Michael Atkinson; daughter, Christine Hinson; grandchildren, Eric, Monique, Tara, Tiffany and Timothy; great grandchildren, Michael, Mallory and Brea.She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ola and her grandparentsThere will be refreshments served at the Funeral Home following the interment.Funeral InformationFuneral: 10/28/2005, 1:30:00 PM Burial: Atlantic Cemetery
