NANCY LEE BARRINGER ARMSTRONG Nancy Lee Barringer Armstrong, 71, passed on at Cass County Hospice Center in Atlantic,Iowa on Friday, February 25, 2011. Nancy Lee was born to Thomas D. "Denny" and Evelyn Cleo (Woolsey) Barringer at their home in Atlantic, Iowa, on February 18, 1940. She attended school, through her senior year, in Atlantic. On June 22, 1958, Nancy was united in marriage to the love of her life, William Duane Armstrong, at the First Christian Church in Atlantic. The couple was blessed with three children. She was employed at Enockson"s Ice Cream Parlor as a young lady and following graduation, worked in a Walnut Grove office for a number of years. In recent years, she was a joy as a waitress at Main Street Grill. She was a wonderful cook and will be remembered for her love of family and how she made every holiday and family event special. Nancy is survived by her husband Bill; her children, Mark W. Armstrong and wife Stacy of Cresent, IA, Ginnie Jo Schroeder and husband Todd of Atlantic, and Michael K. Armstrong and wife Lynn of Atlantic; brother Jimmie Barringer and wife Fern of Fairmont, MN and sister Joan Weirich of Atlantic, IA; grandchildren, Thomas Schroeder, Samantha Schroeder, Stephanie Armstrong, Michael Armstrong, and great grandchildren, William Schroeder and Wyatt Schroeder. She is preceded in death by her parents, Denny and Evelyn; and siblings, Hazel June Martin, Billie Barringer, Virginia Bolz and husband Kenneth and Jerry Barringer.Funeral InformationThere will be Open Visitation at the Roland Funeral Home from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday; from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday; and from 8:00 to 5:00 P.M. on Monday, February 28. Also, at Rolands, the Family Will Meet for a Relatives and Friends Visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday evening. Nancy's funeral service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Atlantic at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 1 and the committal service will follow in the Atlantic Cemetery.
