Something I wrote for my mom
My candle burns bright
World full of wonder
You don’t seem to see me
I’m different, hope you understand
Smiles hide a lot
I just want you to know me
My candle burns low
Starting to feel tired
World full of wonder
Turning sour and sad
My candle burns out
Flame flickering
Son by my side
Beginning and end
My candle burns bright
Momma was waiting
To take me home
I was different, hope you understood
I loved you, in my own way
My candle burns on
Forever
