Iva Anderson

Iva Belle Anderson, age 95, a resident of Atlantic, IA, passed away Friday morning, July 4, 2003, at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center.
Iva Anderson was born April 21, 1908 in Woodbury County to Benjamin and May Jones Flathers. The family moved to Cass County when she was five. Iva married Delbert Anderson on May 19, 1928. Born to this marriage were three children, Vera, Pauline and Marcella. Delbert died in 1934. On June 5, 1939, Iva was married to Raymond Anderson and born to this union were three children, Duane, Violet and Dennis. Iva enjoyed quilting for a lot of people, gardening, flowers and crocheting. She always had something baked for your family. In the winter months, Iva went fishing with her husband in Florida.
She is survived by three daughters, Pauline Nielsen of Avoca, IA, Marcella Gochanour of Omaha, NE and Violet Knight and husband Jackie of Atlantic; one son Duane and wife Betty Jane of Lewis, IA; one daughter-in-law, Kathie Anderson of Atlantic; 14 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 14 great-great children; three sisters, Lottie Eagan and Stella Kendal of Atlantic, Berneice Jensen of Adair and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her two husbands; a daughter Vera Garcia; a son Dennis; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lilah Morris, Edna Harland, Lucille Struble and Esther in infancy; four brothers, Clarence, Gilbert, Leonard and Harley.
