June C. Andersen, 58, of Waverly, Iowa, and formerly of Atlantic, passed away July 21, 2014, in Waverly.
June Christine Petty was born on October 27, 1955, in Atlantic, Iowa, the daughter of Merrill Freeman and Mary Ann (Knutsen) Petty. She graduated from Atlantic High School in 1976.
June was a CNA for over 20 years and most recently had worked at Heritage House in Atlantic until moving to Waverly in 2008.
June is survived by her fiance, Marty Squires of Waverly, Iowa; sons, Phil (Coela) Hunter of Cumberland, Iowa, and Hans and Stewart Andersen of Atlantic, Iowa; granddaughters, Danyelle, Ashlynn, Briana and Samantha; her sister, Anna (Larry) Lummus of Atlantic, Iowa; and her brother, Mel Petty of Denton, Nebraska.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Nathan Hunter; and her sister, Connie Marshall.
