Marcia Steffens

Marcia Carol (Gaylord) Steffens was born December 18, 1936, in Atlantic, to Eldon Frank Gaylord and Della Ellen (Smith) Gaylord. She died Tuesday, July 5 of complications of Lou Gehrigs' Disease. She was a lifelong resident of Cass County. Marcia attended school in Atlantic, graduating with the class of 1955. On September 9, 1956 she was married to Bernard "Junior" Leo Steffens in Zion Lutheran Church in Atlantic. They were the parents of two children, Scott and Debbie. Marcia will be remembered for her sweet personality, friendliness, and love for everyone. Survivors include her husband, Bernard; her son Scott Bernard Steffens and his wife Ranae of Atlantic; her daughter Debra Carol Clausen and her husband, Dennis of Creston; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Marcia has been cremated and no services are planned. Roland Funeral Service of Atlantic, Iowa is caring for her family and arrangements.
