CHARLENE RUTH (CHRISTENSEN) MARQUARDT Charlene Ruth (Christensen) Marquardt of Atlantic passed away on June 1, 2009 at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 70 years.Charlene was born to Charles and Ruth (Freeman) Combs on February 7, 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up and attended school in Omaha graduating from Tech High School. Charlene was married to Leroy Gene Christensen for 17 years. Following their marriage, they lived in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. She was an interior designer and had her own business in Omaha known as Charlene's Interiors. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to dance, fish and was a great seamstress. She is survived by two daughters, Callinda Roxanne Nieto of Bellevue, NE and Honey Lynne Christensen and fiance Jeff Klever; one son Gunnar Dean Christensen and wife Jennifer of West Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Casey Ronald Nieto, Corey Lee Nieto, Callie Charlene Nieto, James Christopher Fischer and Marshall Brandon Fischer; one great granddaughter Marissa Elaine Nieto.Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brothers Paul Combs, Morris Combs, Billy Combs and Forest Combs.Funeral InformationServices for Charlene will be held at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic on Thursday, June 4, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ken Davidson of the Zion Lutheran Church in Atlantic officiating. Committal will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
